Professional Experience
At Kapila & Company, Ms. Bañez has concentrated on litigation support, bankruptcy consulting and forensic investigation. She has provided litigation support services to law firms involving solvency analysis, investigation of “Ponzi Schemes” and corporate business conduct. A significant part of Mrs. Bañez’ experience includes analysis of proof of insolvency and preference/fraudulent transfers.
Her experience in bankruptcy matters encompasses asset tracing and recoveries including investigation of fraudulent and preferential transfers and related defense and solvency analyses. Ms. Bañez has assisted clients in bankruptcy-related financial reporting, claims administration, and litigation support in adversary proceedings..

Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a major in Finance. She graduated with high honors from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. She was an active member of the professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi.
Masters in Business Administration with a focus in International Business from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. At graduate school, Ms. Bañez participated in a graduate assistantship with the Dean and the Chief Operating Officer of the Robinson College of Business. |
